Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Kislay, an individual based in India who operates Recordful ("we", "us"). They cover the Recordful browser extension, this website, and the Recordful Pro cloud service. By using any of them you agree to these terms.

The extension

The Recordful extension is open source software, licensed under the GNU General Public License v3. The license governs your right to use, copy and modify the extension's code. Where these terms and the license disagree about the code, the license wins.

Accounts

You need an account to use Recordful Pro. Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Recordful Pro and billing

• Recordful Pro is a subscription for a workspace, at $13 per month or $120 per year. The yearly plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
• Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar's terms apply to the purchase itself, and taxes may be added at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from settings, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• Payments are not refunded. See the Refund Policy.
• We may change prices. A new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
• A workspace can have up to 100 members under fair use.

Your content

Your recordings are yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you, including showing them to people you share them with.

You are responsible for what you record and share. Get consent before recording other people where the law requires it.

Acceptable use

Do not use Recordful to:

• break the law, or record or share content you have no right to record or share
• store or share content that is abusive, sexually exploits anyone, or infringes someone's rights
• attack, overload or probe the service, or get around its limits or its billing
• resell the service without our written agreement

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Recordful and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. If we close an account without cause, we will refund the unused part of the current period.

Availability

We work to keep Recordful running and your recordings safe, but the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. You can export recordings at any time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Recordful after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without removing any protection your local consumer law gives you.
